R&D Center
The Kahramanmaraş Paper Mill R&D Center strengthens its leading role in the industry in line with its sustainable economic development and innovation goals. Our R&D Center, officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology on December 13, 2017, is the first R&D center established in the paper industry. Our center conducts projects in key areas such as process design, paper product development, new product innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. Drawing on 35 years of accumulated knowledge, the Kahramanmaraş Paper Mill continuously takes innovative steps in paper production and expands its product range each year. Our factory manufactures a variety of products used in the construction, textile, corrugated cardboard, and tissue industries. Our R&D Center develops high value-added products using domestic resources, thereby reducing external dependency and increasing exports to the global market. Our R&D Center personnel enhance their knowledge through postgraduate training and continuous professional development. We establish strong collaborations with universities and other R&D centers to closely monitor sectoral and academic requirements. Successfully completed projects are presented at symposiums, congresses, and conferences, enabling us to develop new products and continuously improve existing projects. Furthermore, our environmentally responsible production approach is reinforced by the Zero Waste Project, implemented under the auspices of the Presidency. This project utilizes waste from each production unit as raw materials for other sectors. This ensures sustainable production based on the principle of zero waste and represents significant steps towards environmental protection. In the future, we aim to maintain our leadership in the sector and gain a greater influence in the global paper market by continuing our investments aligned with the circular economy and zero waste goals.
